AmaZulu confirmed the departure of head coach Pablo Franco Martin following a poor start to their PSL campaign.
It has been the worst possible start to the new season for Usuthu, who suffered three defeats in their first three games.
Losses to newly promoted sides Marumo Gallants and Polokwane City, along with a defeat to Kaizer Chiefs, led to the decision to make changes at the management level.
The Durban-based side announced the departure of Martin and his assistant late on Monday evening.
āAmaZulu has decided to part ways with head coach Pablo Franco Martin and assistant coach Aitor van den Brule,ā the club said.
āWe would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to both Martin and Van den Brule for their contributions during the last 15 months at the helm of the team.ā
Under the ownership of Sandile Zungu, AmaZulu has consistently shown aspirations of becoming one of the countryās top clubs, with silverware always in their sights.
Their shocking start to the season was not what the owners and fans expected, leading to the decision to part ways with Martin.
āTheir dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed, and we appreciate all the effort they have put into their roles. We wish them the best in their future endeavours and extend our warmest regards as they move forward in their careers,ā AmaZulu added.
