TV star Connie Ferguson has warned her fans about scammers using her name to steal people’s money through fake cryptocurrency deals.

The well-known actress and producer took to social media to tell people she has nothing to do with online money trading.

“I do not do online trading. I would never ask anyone for money!” she said.

Ferguson warned that these days criminals are using clever computer tricks to make fake video calls that look like they’re coming from famous people.

“These criminals are so advanced they use artificial intelligence to video call people using someone else’s identity and scam them of their hard-earned money,” Ferguson explained.

She told her followers to trust their gut feelings if something doesn’t feel right about an investment offer.

“Do not be so desperate that you ignore that gut feeling that tells you something is not right! Protect yourself and what is yours. Love and blessings always.”
