Africa’s got virtual talent

The singing sensations from rural Limpopo were back on America’s Got Talent, with a special virtual performance this week.

One year after reaching the finals of one of the toughest musical contests in the world, the Ndlovu Youth Choir performed Your Love is Lifting me higher at the semi-finals.

The choir’s ages range from teens to young adults.

At last year’s finals the  judge Simon Cowell said that if he could, he would bottle up the act’s energy and drink it.

This year they sang to the backdrop of the beautiful hills of Limpopo.

The performance came weeks after the choir was awarded their first South African Music Association (Sama) prize.

The choir sent out a tweet that they were back “with a very special performance showing off our beautiful country. Love lifts us all higher and higher.”
