Lindokuhle Ndimande, 29, was caught by police because he used his bank card at the Wish restaurant where famous rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane were killed.
Lindokuhle and his brother Siyabonga, 28, were arrested with five others for the murder.
They were found hiding in Eswatini.
Lindokuhle had just opened a bank account and used his card at the restaurant moments before AKA was killed.
The next day, someone put R133,000 into his account, which seems to be payment for being involved in the murder.
The police investigation has uncovered several details of the murder. They say Lindokuhle watched AKA closely inside the restaurant and was part of a plan with others, including his brothers, to kill AKA.
After AKA and Tibz were shot outside the restaurant, Lindokuhle and others raced away in a car.
The suspects are due to appear in court on Thursday.
