Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe led their respective sides to the last eight stage of the Uefa Champions League with braces on Tuesday.

Bayern Munich came back from their 1-0 first leg defeat to Lazio with a 3-0 win at home.

Kane opened the scoring to level matters on aggregate before Thomas Mueller made it 2-0 on the night before half time.

The England captain got his second shortly after the hour mark to clear any doubt that may have still lingered around the Allianz Arena.

It was Kane’s 27th Champions League goal ever, making him the second highest English goalscorer in the competition after Wayne Rooney (30).

The former Spurs man is now also the top scorer in this season’s Champions League, with six goals.

The clean sheet for Bayern also sent Manuel Neuer into second place for the most Champions League clean sheets by a goalkeeper.

His 57 games without conceding is bettered only by former Real Madrid man Iker Casillas, who kept 59 clean sheets.

In the other game, PSG capitalised on their 2-0 aggregate lead by beating Real Sociedad 2-1 at the Reale Arena.

Mbappe got both goals for the French giants before Mikel Merino picked up a consolation for the hosts in second half stoppage time.

On Wednesday, Manchester City and Real Madrid are in home action when they welcome Copenhagen and Leipzig in more last 16 second leg action.
