Naledi Willers, a favourite among reality TV audiences, has passed on after a lengthy battle with cancer, aged 30.
Naledi, who was also known as “Na-Legend”, was one of the lead cast members in the first season of Real Housewives of Johannesburg.
The popular show first aired in 2018 on DStv’s One Magic channel, a year before Naledi was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer.
She succumbed to illness this week after beating her first encounter with the disease. Her passing was announced in a statement written by her family and friends.
“We appreciate all the kind thoughts and prayers as we continue to struggle to process this tragic loss,” read the statement.
After the announcement of her demise, condolences from fans started pouring in on social media putting her on twitter trends list on Wednesday.
Despite her young age, Naledi led a full and interesting life.
She first entered the public eye when she was crowned second princess for Miss Botswana in 2009.
In 2017, Naledi got married to Metro FM’s Naked DJ, but the relationship was turbulent, and the couple separated after just two years in 2019.
“Details about the service and funeral arrangements will be communicated in due time,” added the statement.
