Arsenal left it late to beat Nottingham Forest 1-0 on Sunday and stay within three points of Premier League leaders Manchester City.

The Gunners struggled a day after City made it seven wins from seven at home to Ipswich.

Substitute Noni Madueke broke the deadlock in the 80th minute when his effort deflected off Jair Cunha for Arsenal’s only shot on target.

Earlier, Manchester United’s poor run continued with a 1-1 draw at bitter rivals Leeds.

United, with one win in seven league games and winless in six in all competitions, led through Bryan Mbeumo’s fourth goal of the season in the 35th minute, guiding in a Youri Tielemans cross.

Leeds levelled in the 51st minute when Dominic Calvert-Lewin controlled Tarik Muharemovic’s header from a corner and finished at full stretch.

United sit 13th, with their fewest wins at this stage since 1986-87.

Elsewhere, Brighton thrashed Crystal Palace 5-0 including a halfway-line goal from Diego Gomez, while Bournemouth beat 10-man Sunderland 2-0.

On Saturday, Liverpool came back from behind to beat Brentford 2-1 after Chelsea were 2-0 winners at Everton.
