- Penny Ntuli filmed herself twerking next to moving cars on a major road putting drivers and herself at risk.
- Road traffic officials say the stunt broke the law and could lead to serious charges against the radio host.
Jozi FM presenter Penny Ntuli is in trouble with road safety officials after a video of her dancing on a freeway spread across social media.
The radio host and a friend were filmed twerking and bending over next to moving traffic on a busy freeway. The video quickly went viral.
Road Traffic Management Corporation officials are furious about the dangerous stunt. They say Ntuli broke the law and put lives at risk for social media views.
“The RTMC is astonished by this behaviour on our national roads,” the corporation said in a statement.
Officials explained that people are not allowed to walk on freeways. It is against the law.
The corporation is worried about content creators risking their lives for likes and followers on social media.
“Content creators should not risk their lives for ‘likes’,” they said.
Road safety officials are asking everyone to think twice before doing dangerous stunts on busy roads.
They want people to remember that national roads are not places to film videos or take photos.
The RTMC said such behaviour puts everyone in danger – the people making content and drivers trying to get home safely.
