South African Covid-19 cases will pass the 5,000 mark today.
450 new cases were confirmed on Tuesday, bringing the total to 4,996 with 93 deaths, 2,073 recoveries and 185,497 South Africans tested.
The US, now the centre of the virus, had nearly as many deaths in one single nursing home – as SA in total.
There are over 3 million infections worldwide, with 215,461 deaths recorded so far.
