Zee Nxumalo lost all seven of her nominations at the 2026 Metro FM Music Awards. She posted an emotional message on social media after the event.
The results started a fight between music industry figures. Nota Baloyi blamed her manager, Zeus Omega, for the losses.
Nota spoke on MacG’s YouTube channel and said Zeus failed the singer. He said Zee should think about firing her manager.
Zeus saw the video clip and reacted with anger. He posted a message online and insulted Nota.
Zeus also threatened to assault Nota if they ever run into each other in person.
The fight caught the attention of social media users. Some users agreed with Nota. They said Zeus needs to accept the criticism and find better ways to manage the singer.
People pointed to Nota’s past success working with artists like Kwesta. They also shared ideas to help Zee get more votes in the future, like running campaigns at university campuses.
Other users stepped in to defend Zeus. Meanwhile, other music industry people stayed quiet to avoid getting involved in the public drama.
