Rapper Youngsta CPT and radio presenter TBO Touch have been named panellists number four and five of the much anticipated Comedy Central Roast of Khanyi Mbau.
Hosted by comedian and actor Mpho Popps as the roast master, the Roast of Mbau already features radio host SelBeyonce Mkhize, actress and comedian Celeste Ntuli and award-winning investigative journalist Devi Sankaree Govender on the panel.
“This is just one of those career milestones that I couldn’t have imagined happening. Khanyi Mbau is a legend and an entertainment icon,” said Mpho Popps.
“For me to be the chosen one to throw her onto the flames to be roasted is not only historical but legendary as well.”
Youngsta CPT, on the other hand, admitted it’s going to be his first comedy gig.
“I am excited to be part of the Comedy Central Roast. It is my first time being involved within the comedy space and I feel honoured that I am part of something this big,” said the award-winning rapper.
After the roast of AKA and Somizi Mhlongo, which was opened by Mpho Popps, the roast of the 36-year-old Mbau will be recorded at Montecasino in Johannesburg on Thursday 21 July and will premiere on 8 August on Showmax and DSTV.
“May the thickest skin win,” added Mpho Popps.
