- Ntokoto Mabasa, 22, got R10,000 bail after allegedly stabbing and killing her boyfriend, 31-year-old Xichavo Ntsanwisi, in Midrand on 22 September.
- Ntsanwisi, a Greater Giyani Municipality worker and family breadwinner, died from his injuries as relatives protested outside court demanding justice.
The Alexandra Magistrate’s Court has released 22-year-old Ntokoto Mabasa on R10,000 bail.
Mabasa is accused of killing her boyfriend, 31-year-old Xichavo Ntsanwisi, at Colnbrook Estate in Noordwyk, Midrand, on 22 September.
Police said Ntsanwisi was found with a stab wound and later died of his injuries. Mabasa was arrested and charged with murder.

Ntsanwisi, who worked for the Greater Giyani Municipality, was described by loved ones as the breadwinner of his family.
“This is just painful, I won’t lie. Her life is going on whereas she took someone else’s life. A man who was a breadwinner to his own family is no more,” a close source told Scrolla.Africa.
Outside the court, family and friends held placards and demanded justice. Emotions ran high as they expressed anger at the decision to grant bail.

During her first court appearance on 25 September, prosecutor Lufuno Maphiri opposed bail and asked for more time. The case has now been postponed to 25 November, when Mabasa is expected to appear again.
