American award winning pop star will.i.am has paid for his sin of ripping off DJ Lag’s 2016 Gqom song ‘Iced Drop’ without attribution.

The famous Black Eyed Peas music leader, will.i.am whose full name is William Adams Jr, apologised to DJ and to music producer Megan Ryte for using the beat in his ‘Culture’ single. The song features will.i.am and A$AP Ferg without mentioning its DJ Lag’s creation.

“My apologies to @MeganRyte for the situation with @RealDJLag, I made the mistake not Megan,” said will.i.am on his Twitter account.

The South African music producer Lag who has worked with Beyoncé and was also nominated for a Grammy last year – was reportedly not impressed with the apology, after having posted his ‘Iced Drop’ music video in the comment section of Megan’s Culture music video link on Twitter.

DJ Lag whose real name is Lwazi Gwala reportedly said he has settled the matter with an ‘’undisclosed amount’’ with will.i.am.
