Popular amapiano DJ Uncle Waffles has called out the organisers of a Kenyan music show for treating fans badly and using poor sound equipment.

The DJ, whose real name is Lungelihle Zwane, stopped her performance at the For the Love of Amapiano concert because of sound problems.

“There are too many problems happening on stage. I can’t hear sh*t,” she told the crowd. “I don’t want you guys to say I came and didn’t play; it’s not my fault.”

After the show, the Eswatini-born star was most upset about how security treated her fans.

“What has upset me most is how my supporters were treated by the organisers and security,” she said. “People were pushed around, mishandled and treated badly. That is something I won’t stand for.”

The Wadibusa hitmaker said the organisers failed everyone who came to see her.

“You have not only disappointed me but also let down the 10,000+ people who came out,” she told them.

But Uncle Waffles still showed love to her Kenyan fans, saying: “Kenya, I hope to see you again soon with a much better outcome. You were all an amazing crowd.”
