Everson Luhanga, our Editor, is a crime and celebrity specialist formerly on the Daily Sun. Sizwe Sibiya is our Durban correspondent. Garry Rogers, our sales director, ran the ad sales teams at the M&G and Daily Sun. Phillip van Niekerk, the legendary former editor of the M&G, is our associate editor. We're also advised in London by Richard Addis, a media entrepreneur who formerly edited the UK’s Daily Express and Canada’s Globe and Mail. Our Zulu translators are Zuzile Ndlela and Sbongile Nonyana.

    News editor
    The position requires an experienced journalist, editor or sub editor based in South Africa.
    The news editor will:
    · anchor Scrolla’s news operation, working with in house reporters and freelancers
    · identify new freelancers across the country, working with them and mentoring them
    · edit, rewrite and sub edit – and sometimes write stories themselves
    · manage video and audio editing

    Chief sub
    The candidate needs to be an exceptional writer, as well as an experienced editor or sub editor, based in South Africa.
    The chief sub will:
    · work closely with the editor and news editor
    · manage freelance sub editors
    · edit and rewrite and sub edit
