If there is anyone who knows the McDonald’s menu inside out, your best guess is former US president Donald Trump.
He declared that he knows the menu “better than anybody in here” during a visit to Ohio, where he went to the popular fast food chain on Wednesday.
He is seen in video footage telling a McDonald’s cashier that he wants to buy meals for the town’s police and fire departments, Reaccount reported.
In the video, which has since gone viral, Trump can be heard asking the cashier “What’s your speciality today?”
While still at his favourite fast-food chain, Trump can be seen turning to a group of supporters who have come to the establishment to see him.
In the video Trump greets the people, saying that they are a nice, beautiful group of people.
Then he says that he knows the menu better than they do.
Trump’s love for fast food has been well documented, especially his undying love for McDonald’s.
Two former campaign aides previously reported that Trump’s usual McDonald’s order consisted of two Big Macs, two Filet-o-Fish sandwiches and a large malted milkshake.
Trump was also known to serve fast food at the White House on occasion, including in 2019, when he famously invited Clemson University’s football team to eat at a fast-food buffet in the State Dining Room to celebrate its national championship win.
In October 2020, while he was being treated for Covid-19, the former president had his McDonald’s delivered to Walter Reed Hospital.
In his book Fire and Fury, Michael Wolf wrote that Trump loves to eat fast food in part because of a “longtime fear” of being poisoned.
A notorious liar, Trump has convinced millions of Americans that he won the election in 2020 and that the man who beat him, Joe Biden, is a fraudulent President who stole the election.
