  • Tyla is up for Best African Music Performance for her hit Push 2 Start, competing against top Afrobeats stars.
  • Trevor Noah is nominated for Best Audio Book for Into the Uncut Grass, his latest storytelling project.

South African stars Trevor Noah and Tyla have earned nominations for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, set for Sunday, 1 February 2026, in Los Angeles.

Tyla, whose full name is Tyla Laura Seethal, will compete in the Best African Music Performance category for her song Push 2 Start.

She faces tough competition from Davido and Omah Lay’s With You, Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin’s Hope & Love, and Ayra Starr and Wizkid’s Gimme Dat.

Trevor Noah has been nominated in the Best Audio Book, Narration, and Storytelling Recording category for his book Into the Uncut Grass.

He will go up against Kathy Garver, Ketanji Brown Jackson, Fab Morvan, and the Dalai Lama.

Both stars are no strangers to the Grammy stage. Tyla made history in 2024 when her global hit Water won the first-ever Best African Music Performance award.

Noah, meanwhile, has been nominated several times for his comedy albums and audiobooks.

Earlier this year, he also became the first comedian to host the Grammys five years in a row, from 2021 to 2025 – a record that cemented his place in music and entertainment history.

The 2026 Grammy Awards will once again be held at the Crypto.com Arena, where the world’s biggest stars will gather to celebrate the best in global music.
