US-based Nigerian singer and songwriter Tiwa Savage has released stunning visuals for her song “Somebody’s Son”.
It’s part of her Water and Garri EP featuring R&B icon Brandy.
Like “The Boy Is Mine” hit-maker Brandy, who has been in the music industry since 1993, the 41-year-old Savage started her music career working as a backup artist for international stars like Mary J Blige and George Michael. She then launched her solo career with her first album in 2013, titled Once Upon A Time.
The 42-year-old Brandy blended beautifully with Savage on the dark-themed music video, which was released a month after the audio version on 20 August.
In “Somebody Son”, the pair sings about that special “somebody’s son” who is going to come to their rescue and “love” them one day.
In just 21 hours the music video had reached more than 1.5 million views on YouTube and after one day is now sitting at over 2.3 million views.
Meanwhile Tiwa Savage is in the middle of dealing with a “sex tape” threat, which she said was posted by an unidentified partner on Snapchat by mistake.
Even though it was removed almost instantly, somebody had already saved it and now is threatening to release it – but “she will not pay”.
