‘They are trying to kill me!’ — Shebeshxt

Limpopo’s own Shebeshxt, real name Lehlogonolo Chauke, claimed people are trying to kill him.

The Kedi Hit Malume hitmaker shocked fans, saying that hired gunmen were out to get him.

“They have hired people to kill me. Pray for me,” he posted on Instagram.

Adding to the drama, videos of “prophets” and sangomas warning of dark plots against Shebeshxt are trending on social media.

In TimesLive, sangoma Mkhulu Qheba claimed to have seen a woman spiking Shebeshxt’s food with muti at a gig in the Vaal.

Another prophet has called on followers to send prayers Shebeshxt’s way, hinting at enemies waiting in the shadows over a deal he’s set to ink.

Shebeshxt broke out in early 2022, and he’s been riding the wave of success since, rubbing shoulders with big names like DJ Maphorisa and Dr Malinga.

But his past is marked by a life of crime, which he openly discussed on “Podcast and Chill.”

“I stopped doing crime,” he said, revealing desperate acts to feed his child.

From shoplifting to mugging, he was deep into a life of crime.

“I would carry big knives,” he recalled, admitting to a line of thefts and muggings.
