After delivering a hot verse on Fakaloice’s new hit single titled “Ooh Aah”, which also features a verse from the late Riky Rick, Cassper Nyovest has announced he is about to release new music – and it’s hip hop this time.
Nyovest, who had introduced himself as a rapper in the industry, last year proved his versatility when he released an all amapiano album titled Sweet and Short 2.0. It was a second instalment of his fourth studio album, Sweet and Short, which was also not rap, but strictly kwaito.
He’s now preparing to release his seventh studio album which has no release date or title yet. Nyovest, whose last official single “Summer Love” with Raye dropped seven months ago, has scheduled the release of his upcoming single titled “Put Your Hands Up”, featuring Mouse T.
“Cassper Nyovest is about to drop!!! August 19. KE HIP HAAP DAWG!!” said Nyovest on his social media accounts on Wednesday, 10 August.
Having murdered the “Ooh Aah” beat whose music video was released on 5 August by Ambitiouz Entertainment, he is definitely about to make a lot of noise with “Put Your Hands Up”.
“So, how you gon’ step to the god? Mentioning my name in your songs, putting little subs in your bars, when I make more money than your boss,” raps Nyovest on “Ooh Aah”, making it clear who is the boss of hip hop in Mzansi.
Meanwhile Nyovest’s other business ventures, like the Billiato gin business, the Root of Fame sneakers which are released in collaboration with Drip Footwear and the celebrity boxing matches have been a huge success.
