- R&B favourites Lloyiso and Filah Lah Lah will take the stage in a relaxed picnic setting under the stars at the botanical garden.
- Children under five enter free, while those aged five to 17 need a ticket costing R195. No alcohol from outside is allowed.
The Walter Sisulu Botanical Garden in Roodepoort will come alive with music on Saturday, 14 June.
This edition of the Sunset Music series will feature R&B singer Lloyiso and rising star Filah Lah Lah. The two will perform soulful hits in the garden’s open-air setting as the sun goes down.
People are invited to bring picnic baskets, fleece blankets and camping chairs. The concert is family-friendly, with free entry for children under five. Kids aged five to 17 must have a ticket, which costs R195.
There will be food stalls at the venue, but organisers say fans can bring their own meals. Alcohol will be sold at the event, but bringing your own drinks is not allowed.
The last show in the series was on Sunday, 1 June and featured big names like Ami Faku, Simmy and Lee-Soulae.
The event’s organiser said: “The Sunset Music series is set against the breathtaking backdrop of the garden’s lush landscape. It offers a unique blend of melodies, rhythms and memories under the African sky.”
Gates will open early, and organisers expect a large crowd. Fans are encouraged to arrive in good time to claim the best picnic spots.
