Hip-hop star Leslie “Da L.E.S” Mampe is fighting to get better after a stroke that put him in a wheelchair and affected his speech.

The rapper spent more than a month in hospital before his family brought him home to care for him.

His famous friends have been visiting to lift his spirits. Rappers L-Tido and Cassper Nyovest joined pastor Kabelo Mabalane at his house to pray for him.

“We had a prayer for his recovery. He is doing very well, and we can’t wait to see him back in action,” said one of his friends.

Even Nigerian superstar Burna Boy, who once lived with Da L.E.S, shared his worry about the rapper.

“My only pain right now is not being in South Africa with Da L.E.S,” Burna Boy wrote online.

Despite his illness, Da L.E.S recently celebrated his daughter’s birthday and thanked fans for standing by him.
