A source close to former South African Football Association (Safa) CEO Advocate Leslie Sedibe has alleged that his estranged wife, Faith Nevhutalu, accused actress Sonia Mbele of using muthi on him.

The claims were reportedly made during arguments before their marriage fell apart.

Leslie and Faith are now separated and living in different bedrooms in their Johannesburg home, according to the source.

The source alleged that in 2022, Leslie told Faith his son had lost an aunt and that he planned to attend the funeral. Faith objected, accusing him of having an affair with his son’s mother. Leslie reportedly cancelled his plans.

He then attended a friend’s mother’s funeral in Bolobedu, Limpopo. Faith allegedly accused him of having an affair with another woman in Limpopo.

In February 2023, Leslie allegedly told Faith he planned to attend a tombstone unveiling in Bolobedu. When he refused to let her join him, an argument broke out and she is said to have assaulted him.

While Leslie was in Limpopo, he allegedly received a call saying Faith had attempted suicide by overdosing on pills. He asked his sons to take her to a private hospital in Johannesburg, where she was admitted.

Leslie allegedly later found a suicide note in which Faith blamed him for her actions. The note reportedly mentioned a woman named Molatela and Sonia, suggesting Sonia was bewitching him.

Speaking to Daily Sun, Sonia denied the claims. She said she does not see Leslie and they only communicate by text message. She said she is focused on church, Bible studies and ministry work.
