- Actor Sello Maake kaNcube has taken back a Mercedes-Benz from his ex-wife Pearl Mbewe during their divorce.
- Pearl helped build his career but found the car wasn’t in her name while he now drives a Porsche.
Well-known actor Sello Maake kaNcube has taken back the Mercedes-Benz he gave his ex-wife, Pearl Mbewe.
The car is now being driven by his son while Maake kaNcube drives a Porsche Cayenne, sources told ZiMoja.
“He sometimes drives the car, but it is mostly driven by his son,” a source said.
Pearl had hoped to keep the Mercedes since the couple had used her car in their early days together.
Sources say that when Maake kaNcube’s financial situation improved, he bought a car and a house in Centurion but later sent Pearl packing.
“They were using her car for a while, then when Maake started making money, he bought a car and a house in Centurion and kicked her out,” another source said.
Pearl, who helped Maake kaNcube secure important business deals, was disappointed to find that the car was not registered in her name.
She believes she should get a share of his property because of her contributions during their marriage.
When asked about the car, Maake kaNcube said: “A divorce is a private matter.” He admitted, however, that tension often comes with divorces.
Pearl could not be reached for comment.
