Singer-songwriter Rethabile Khumalo has returned home following a hospital stay that included three operations after she was poisoned by a “so-called friend.”
“Thank you for your prayers, love and support. Rethabile is back home,” her mother, Winnie Khumalo, wrote on Instagram.
“I thought I would keep quiet until my daughter was okay, but she is fighting for her life,” Winnie had posted earlier. “She has been poisoned by a so-called friend.”
After six days in the hospital, Winnie shared photos of Rethabile looking well after a makeover.
Rethabile rose to fame when DJ Zinhle featured her on his single “Umlilo,” which went triple platinum and received over nine million views on YouTube.
