Formula 1 team principal Christian Horner is under investigation after accusations over his conduct were made by a member of the Red Bull staff.
The allegations, according to multiple reports, are related to inappropriate controlling behaviour.
“I completely deny these claims,” the 50-year-old Horner told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.
Horner was at the helm for Red Bull’s record-breaking 2023 season in which they won 21 out of 22 races as Max Verstappen took home the championship.
The team said in a statement that it took the charges “extremely seriously” and that “after being made aware of certain recent allegations, the company launched an independent investigation”.
“This process, which is already underway, is being carried out by an external specialist barrister. The company takes these matters extremely seriously and the investigation will be completed as soon as practically possible. It would not be appropriate to comment further at this time.”
Horner has been the team’s principal since 2005, winning seven drivers’ championships and six constructors’ championships along the way.
The new F1 season gets underway on 2 March in Bahrain.
