- Reality TV star Nkateko Mahange wants custody of his child after accusing his ex of dangerous behaviour.
- The couple broke up before finding out about the pregnancy and tried to work together for the baby’s sake.
The Ultimatum: South Africa star Nkateko “Kay” Mahange wants custody of his child, saying his ex-girlfriend Khanya Nqolase isn’t a fit mother.
The couple broke up in May 2024 and later found out they were expecting a baby.
When they learned about the pregnancy, Nkateko gave Khanya a promise ring and suggested they both go for therapy to deal with their problems from the show.
“Shortly after shooting the reunion, Khanya and I agreed that even though we are not together anymore, what matters more is finalising matters regarding Qhawe (their child),” he told Zimoja.
“We were adamant about not reuniting solely for the sake of our child, understanding the importance of healing as individuals.”
But now Nkateko has released a three-page statement accusing Khanya of dangerous behaviour during her pregnancy, including substance abuse and violence.
He claims she attacked him several times, punching and scratching him and throwing things at him. He says one violent outburst during her pregnancy put both her and their unborn baby at risk.
