Besides saving the day and securing three-points with a header against West Ham United, Marcus Rashford scored his 100th goal for Manchester United on Sunday.
It was also his seventh goal of the season.
Rashford’s 38th-minute header off a cross from Christian Eriksen was the first time the English forward has scored a first-half goal since April 2021, according to Squawka.
His 100th Manchester United goal makes Rashford the latest to join a distinguished list of centurions, which includes Wayne Rooney and Ruud Van Nistelrooy.
Though Erik Ten Hag’s men were not the great team, they persevered in securing the three points that kept them in fifth position on the log with 23 points from 12 games.
Manchester United are just one point adrift of fourth-placed Newcastle United, who have played one game more.
Some of United’s top scorers are Rooney – 253 goals, Bobby Charlton – 249, Denis Law – 237,
Jack Rowley – 211 and Dennis Viollet – 179.
