Ahead of his boxing match with fellow rapper Cassper Nyovest, Priddy Ugly is celebrating the anniversary of his sophomore album with a new project titled The Mud EP.
Priddy Ugly, whose real name is Ricardo Moloi, said he will be releasing the new EP on 2 September. Its eight tracks will continue his music journey from where his 2021 album titled Soil left off.
“This week marks one year since the release of my sophomore album ‘SOIL’ & I want to celebrate that with new music. It is with great pleasure that I present to you ‘MUD’ – the next stage in my metamorphosis,” said Priddy Ugly, announcing the new project on Monday.
But worry not. If you are a fan you do not have to wait for September to get a taste of The Mud which will be available for pre-order from Friday.
The rapper from Meadowlands in Soweto also announced he will be blessing his fans with a music video on Friday for an unreleased single from The Mud titled “30 Minutes to Soweto”, featuring Doe Boy Maglera.
The Mud, which features artists like Marcus Harvey, Blxckie, Zoocci Coke Dope and amapiano Lady Du, to name a few, is expected to be one of the best hip hop projects of this year.
Meanwhile, the rapper, who was born in Luanda, Angola will continue to train for the boxing match which is expected to take place in spring this year.
“Back in my happy place. Fight dates and announcements soon,” said Cassper Nyovest on his Instagram page, as the person who prepares the venue and the sponsors of the third celebrity fight against him.
The first boxing fight with Nyovest was against media commentator Slik Talk who lost the match in the first round on 22 December 2021.
And on 9 April, Nyovest went on to lose against musician and actor NaakMusiq after three official rounds.
