Police are looking for Longwe Twala after he failed to appear at the Randburg Magistrates’ Court on Friday morning.
The court has issued a warrant for his arrest. Scrolla.Africa has learned that Longwe allegedly stole his sister’s phone while staying at her house as part of his bail conditions.
His sister plans to open a theft case at the police station.
His father, music producer Chicco Twala, supports his daughter’s decision.
“Let the law take its course. I urge his sister to open a case of theft as well. This is not on. This is too much!” said Chicco.
Longwe and his brother Sello were arrested on 2 September after Chicco reported them for stealing studio equipment worth over R200,000 from his Douglasdale studio.
The court released Longwe on 25 September with strict conditions: he must stay off drugs and alcohol during the trial and remain at home from 6pm to 6am.
He is also banned from going to his father’s home or workplace.
