Turkish football club Besiktas terminated the contract of one of their young talents, 21-year-old Emirhan Delibas after his dating profile went viral on social media.
He claimed he was 24 on his Bumble account, and it featured him wearing the club’s gear while casually sipping a drink.
Delibas, who has only played 14 minutes for Besiktas, claims the profile is fake.
“I reject the slanderous allegations made by fake accounts,” he wrote on Instagram.
But Besiktas wasn’t feeling the love, announcing a mutual breakup with the winger and wishing him luck in his future.
The profile in question bragged about Delibas being a Besiktas player who was on the hunt for “something casual”.
Having kicked off his career at Besiktas as a seven-year-old, Delibas climbed up from the youth ranks to the big leagues, even representing Turkey at various youth levels.
But now, it seems his biggest match was one he might not have swiped right for.
