Orlando Pirates’s pursuit of a CAF Champions League spot continues with Saturday’s visit to tricky Sekhukhune United.

The Buccaneers will be at Peter Mokaba Stadium to face their Limpopo opponents who are sixth in the standings.

Currently placed second on the table, Pirates will be keen to wheel away from their nearest challengers for a top-two position.

They face stern opposition for that spot from the likes of SuperSport United, Stellenbosch, Cape Town City and Kaizer Chiefs.

But for now, the Soweto giants’ concern is Sekhukhune who are enjoying a rich vein of form in the PSL.

Babina Noko are on a five-match unbeaten run that includes four straight victories.

But Sekhukhune coach Lehlohlonolo Seema is refusing to read too much into that.

“We are not bothered or saying we have arrived,” Seema told Sekhukhune’s media department.

“We know we are four or five games unbeaten but that is nothing because we are still in a position where we want to improve.

“We are not even looking at saying we are on form or we want to match Orlando Pirates. We are looking for maximum points because we are at home so that we can finish as high as possible.

“We are not looking back to sit back and absorb pressure.”

Sekhukhune welcomed back Nyiko Mobbie and Elias Mokwana who scored a goal each for Bafana Bafana during their international friendly matches against Andorra and Algeria.

Pirates have central defenders Nkosinathi Sibisi and Tapelo Xoki as well as Thabang Monare and newly-capped Patrick Maswanganyi returning fully fit from national team duty.

Meanwhile, fourth-placed Stellenbosch will look to challenge Pirates for a top-two position by hosting Royal AM at Danie Craven Stadium on Saturday.
