Popular Umhlobo Wenene FM presenter and pastor Nomonde Vakalisa has died after a short illness.
The sad news was shared on Wednesday morning during the station’s Khanya Gqiyazana show by SABC manager Loyiso Bala.
Vakalisa, who was 47, touched many lives through her work on religious shows at the radio station. She also led the Thy Will Ministries church in Gqeberha.
Her heartbroken family took to Facebook to remember her: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Pastor Nomonde Vakalisa, who faithfully led the Thy Will Ministries Gqeberha branch,” they wrote.
They praised her as a “devoted servant of God, a loving leader, and an inspiration to all who knew her.”
The family will soon share details about her funeral and memorial service.
