Popular DJ and music producer Chymamusique says surviving a deadly car crash was “nothing short of a miracle.”
The accident killed five people. This included fellow producer DJ Poizen, whose real name was Calvin Masetla.
The crash happened on Saturday morning, 30 August. It was along the N1 near Ysterberg Mountain outside Polokwane.
Chymamusique and another passenger got hurt. They were rushed to hospital. Poizen and four others died at the scene.
The DJ spent several days in intensive care. He had four surgeries. He has now been moved out of intensive care.
His management said he is still in the hospital. He needs one more surgery. They thanked fans for their prayers and support.
Chymamusique shared emotional messages on social media. He thanked God and talked about how fragile life is.
“If you ever doubt God, hit me up in October. What I’m witnessing is 200% a miracle,” he wrote.
“God, you know why. You’re the author and finisher of our lives. Sorry, and please help us all. We are your children, and we have seen your powerful hand.”
Chymamusique also wrote a touching farewell to his late friend Poizen.
“See you in heaven, mchana (my friend). I spent the last few minutes of your life with you. #RIPPoizen.”
