A global shortage of condoms is looming.
The world’s biggest producer, Malaysia’s Karex, has not produced a single condom from its Malaysian factories for more than a week because the country’s coronavirus lockdown closed factories.
That’s a global shortfall of 100 million condoms, and China’s condom production has also been reduced.
“We are going to see a global shortage of condoms everywhere,” said Karex’s CEO.
