American comedian and TV personality Nick Cannon has taken an unusual step to secure his reproductive health by insuring his testicles for $10-million (about R186.9-million).
He announced on social media, “It’s official! I have the most valuable balls in the world! @drsquatch has insured them for $10m through their Ball-to-Ball Coverage.” The insurance policy was obtained through MMA/Momentous Insurance, according to Billboard.
Since the 1920s, celebrities and athletes have insured their vital body parts to protect against potential career-impacting losses.
Lloyd’s of London is a primary provider of these high-profile insurance policies, which require a thorough evaluation of the body part’s condition before a policy is issued.
Cannon, who has a large family with at least 12 children from various relationships, is the father of twins Monroe and Moroccan with pop icon Mariah Carey.
He has two sons, Golden and Rise, and a daughter, Powerful, with model Brittany Bell. With DJ Abby De La Rosa, he has twins Zion and Zillion, and a daughter named Beautiful.
Additionally, Cannon has a son, Legendary, with model Bre Tiesi, and a daughter, Onyx Ice, with model LaNisha Cole. He also had a son, Zen, with model Alyssa Scott, who sadly passed away from brain cancer at five months in 2021.
His twelfth child, a daughter named Halo Marie, whom he fathered with Scott, was born in December 2022.
