Ten weeks ago the people of Mzansi picked Shudufhadzo Musida as their favourite to win the Miss South Africa pageant.
And last night she won the contest.
On 5 August, the 24-year-old posted and pinned a tweet on her Twitter account @abigailmusida thanking the nation for voting for her:
“I’m happy to share that I’ve made it as a Miss SA top 10 finalist. I found out that I am the winner of the public vote. I’m extremely blessed & moved by all the support. This journey has been so beautiful & it took an entire village to get here, so thank you for being my village!”
The ordinary girl from Ha-Masia in Limpopo took home the Miss South Africa 2020 pageant.
Leaving Thato Mosehle as first runner up and Natasha Joubert at number three.
Shudufhadzo was crowned in Cape Town on Saturday at The Table Bay hotel.
As the winner of the 2020 pageant, she walks away with the R3 million prize package.
The winner of Miss SA 2020:
● Has a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Philosophy, Politics and Economics – University of Pretoria
● She is currently doing a BA Honours in International Relations at University of Witwatersrand.
The top three will represent South Africa in international pageants including the prestigious Miss Universe which was won last year by Miss SA 2019 Zozibini Tunzi.
