Having been in the music industry for more than 10 years, DJ Zinhle knows the recipe for an eventful December.
The “My Name Is” hitmaker from Dannhauser in KwaZulu-Natal has come together with DJ Kabza De Small, singer Nolwazi and the Black Motion duo of DJs consisting of Smol and Murdah Bongz. Bongz is also the father of Zinhle’s second born child Asante and partner.
Together, thay have created a potential anthem for this festive season.
The song, which is titled “Siyabonga”, which means “We Thank You” in Zulu, was released on Friday and is already sitting at number four on YouTube’s trending music charts, competing with songs which have an official quality music video.
“Siyabonga” is a mixture of different genres that include gospel vocally and African house with bits of amapiano influence to sound more familiar to the party audience. The song has Kabza De Small’s signature amapiano touch.
In just three days, the song has collected more than 270,000 views on YouTube under DJ Zinhle’s account. Zinhle is also the mother of AKA’s daughter, her first child Kairo.
