Prisca Anyolo went from being a Miss Namibia finalist to becoming an influencer in Dubai and a beautician.
The 26-year-old, born in Windhoek, Namibia, has always had a passion for the finer things in life.
Anyolo has blossomed from being a make-up artist and media personality to an international businesswoman.
From a young age she has wanted to be a model, and at high school she entered her school’s pageant contest.
“Growing up I was always interested in modelling and beauty pageantry. My last achievement was being a Top 12 finalist in the Miss Namibia 2021 competition.”
Catapulting from that success, she found herself on the silver screen in a supporting role in the film Katutura, which is about dealing with the everyday struggle of living in Katutura township.
“I knew I wanted to be in the media, both in front and behind the scenes, which is why I dabbled in film as an actress,” she told Scrolla.Africa.
She was also a radio presenter at NUST FM and a television presenter at Namibia Media Holdings.
Anyolo’s passion and ambition eventually led her abroad. “I came to the United Arab Emirates as a sales consultant with GIZ Namibia and NIPDB, representing Namibia at an Expo in 2020,” Anyolo said about her move to the Middle East.
“After that, I got hired as a television presenter and marketing manager at an English TV station in Dubai and was promoted to vice-president in a short time.”
As a professional make-up artist, she had high-profile clients such as Monica Geingos (the First Lady of Namibia), Nangula Uuandja (the CEO of The Namibian Investment Development Board) and Dr Loretta Sanders (an award-winning motivational speaker).
“I decided to register my own make-up company, Prisca Beauty, in Dubai, because I knew it was time for me to be my own CEO again and continue where I left off after moving out of Africa.
“I am a proud Journalism and Media Technology Honours graduate from the Namibian University of Science and Technology, but I am also a huge beauty enthusiast and I love that I get to live out both of my careers,” Anyolo said.
