Award-winning maskandi artist Khuzani Mpungose is already in a league of his own, and he’s set to make a bit of history.
The Nkandla-born artist announced on Monday night that his very own reality show would be coming up in September.
Khuzani will be the first maskandi artist to have his own reality show.
The show called Khuzani Reality Show will be aired on SABC 1.
Last year, the Ijele singer became the third maskandi artist to win Ukhozi FM’s Ingoma Ehlukanisa Unyaka competition, which is run by the number one radio station in South Africa.
The winning song is played at midnight on December 31 every year.
An excited Khuzani posted on his Facebook page: “I would like to thank each and everyone who is a fan of the Blue nation for being there and supporting me. I would like to update you regarding my musical journey which has landed us here. I’ve made my wish to have my own reality TV show known for three years now. As you are aware that I announce my dreams and wishes and I’m grateful that God is always on my side to make things happen for me.”
