Following a year of controversy, the wealthy socialite and CEO of Royal AM football club, Shauwn Mkhize, has been honoured with the Favourite Personality award nomination at DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards (MVCA).
Widely known as MaMkhize, the businesswoman got the nod alongside producer and legendary actor Cornie Ferguson and star dance music singer Makhadzi.
MaMkhize rose to fame on social media after her divorce with Sbu Mpisane, who is the father of her musician son and Royal AM chairman Andile Mpisane. The divorce in 2018 was very well publicised in the media.
Since then, MaMkhize and her son Andile have been one of the most talked about families, pulling interesting stunts like awarding Royal AM players with stacks of cash on the pitch after winning a game in 2021.
Mamkhize is also known for her glamorous reality television show KwaMam’Mkhize, which aired weekly on Mzansi Magic DStv channel. The show was discontinued after a single season in 2020.
Meanwhile her son Andile has recently signed with the Def Jam Africa record label, and this year opened for legendary artists Rick Ross, Jeezy, Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz and Fabolous at the Legendz of the Streetz Tour in Detroit, USA, in February.
