- Dancer Melita Ramokgosi says Makhadzi owes her pay for May and June and shared screenshots showing her repeated unpaid messages to the singer.
- Melita says she was promised payment after a Mozambique tour but got nothing, as Makhadzi also faces a R200,000 debt dispute.
Singer Makhadzi’s former dancer Melita Ramokgosi says she has not been paid for two months of work.
Melita shared her story on Facebook on Tuesday, 14 October 2025, posting screenshots of WhatsApp chats with Makhadzi. She said she was still waiting to be paid for May and June.
She claimed she was told the money would be paid after Makhadzi returned from a tour in Mozambique, but it never arrived.
“Please tell your fave to pay me for the two months she owes me. I was told they would pay me when they got back to South Africa, but nothing!” she wrote.
Melita also posted a video of herself dancing with Makhadzi on stage, saying she did her job and deserves to be paid.
The WhatsApp messages she shared show her asking for her money several times without getting a reply.
In one message, she told Makhadzi: “You’re not being fair. You can see my messages but you ignore me. I worked for my money, please just pay me so I can move on.”
This comes as reports suggest Makhadzi is also dealing with a R200,000 debt to a consultant, which could lead to her losing property.
Makhadzi has not yet responded publicly to Melita’s claims.
