Makamu sinks deeper into the, eh, murky waters

Rea Tsotella presenter Bishop Israel Makamu, who sorts out people’s problems on TV, is not doing so well with his own real life problems.

On top of all his personal problems, a businessman known to Scrolla.Africa claims that Makamu is battling to pay him an amount of R280,000 which he borrowed from him in 2016 to renovate his church.

According to a statement posted on WhatsApp, Makamu borrowed the money and offered to pay it back after two months.

In the statement the man accuses Makamu of blocking him on the phone and called him heartless.

“More is coming for you. You messed with the wrong person. I helped you like a brother. You are not ashamed,” said the post.

“I told you when I met you you mustn’t start something you will never finish,” the post reads.

The businessman said he felt for Makamu’s wife.

“All I want of you is my money that you promised to give back to me,” he said.

“Your wife knows it too as she was there at Sasfin Bank when I gave you the cash.”

The businessman refused to comment, saying the matter was between himself and Makamu before he hung up.

Scrolla.Africa’s attempts to get comment from Makamu failed as his cell phone was off.
