Having been labelled satanic after he released 666 Nike branded shoes, with a drop of human blood in their soles, Lil Nas X is trending again. This time for his new song Industry Baby, featuring Jack Harlow.
Famous for creating music videos with a storyline, Lil Nas released his latest video on Friday, which received more than 17 million views in one day.
In the video, he gets sentenced to five years in “Montero State Prison” – for making the shoes, that sold out in less than an hour, that were altered and resold without Nike’s consent.
The video shows him in prison as the ringleader of a male-only jail with prisoners in pink uniforms.
Lil Nas said the video is a fundraiser to fight mass incarceration by paying for arrested people’s bail under the Bail X Fund. He twerks naked with other inmates in a shower scene, while rapping “I don’t f**k with the b***s, I’m queer, But these n** like Madea”.
Jack Harlow is the only prisoner with a female in his solitary confinement cell. After the LGBQT community criticised him, Harlow asked Lil Nas to apologise on his behalf on social media for not making him “go gay” in the video.
The Old Town Road hitmaker’s song Industry Baby is now sitting at over 37 million views on YouTube in just four days.
