The most successful side ever face-off against the year’s most dominant, in their own backyard. It’s the ICC Cricket World Cup final and it all comes down to one day of one-day-international cricket in Ahmedabad.
The biggest prize awaits India or Australia on the biggest stage of world cricket.
The tournament that began to take off when the sides collided in Chennai, will now conclude when they go head-to-head at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
With their Prime Minister in attendance, India will have both the pressure of a billion citizens and the roars from over 100,000 spectators on their side.
For their opponents, it will be another one of their eight finals — with their presence in the ultimate stage of the competition continuing to be a strong habit for the Aussies.
If the cricketing clash of the Titans is not enough to have you excited, or if you are looking for a little more to hype you up, the opening ceremony should do just that.
The Indian Air Force is set to perform an air show post-match while there will also be light shows during the drinks break.
To top that off, the finest stars from Bollywood and around the world are set to light up the stage in concerts pre-match and during half-time.
The toss takes place from 10 am on Sunday with the first ball live on SuperSport at 10.30 am.
