Durban: The golf day to remember the fifth anniversary of the passing of Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu brought unity in the royal family who were once fighting over the battle of the throne. The family gathered in Durban to play golf in memory of the Zulu King who passed away on 12 March 2021. He was buried on 18 March 2021 at around 3am as part of the tradition to lay a Zulu King to rest. The royal family uncle Prince Mbonisi kaBhekuzulu, who was once called the royal rebel, was seen happy and sharing jokes with the siblings of King Misuzulu kaZwelithini and other family members. Most of the children of the late Zulu King from all palaces were there to share some love while playing golf in a spirit of unity. Their grandmother Queen Mavis maZungu added some laughter and joy as she showed them her amazing skill in the golf sport.

Chatsworth: Fifteen undocumented foreign nationals and one factory owner were arrested during an operation to tackle the employment of illegal foreign nationals. The operation included police in KwaZulu-Natal, working with inspectors from the Department of Employment and Labour and immigration officials from the Department of Home Affairs. They conducted compliance inspection operations in Chatsworth on Wednesday. During the operation, five factories were inspected and one factory was found to have illegally employed 15 foreign nationals. After verification by Home Affairs, all 15 foreign nationals were found to be in the country illegally and they were arrested. The owner of the factory was also arrested for employing undocumented foreign nationals.

Zululand District: The Inkatha Freedom Party in KwaZulu-Natal has achieved a decisive victory in three highly contested by-elections held in Nongoma and AbaQulusi Local Municipality under the Zululand District Municipality. The IFP secured Ward 7 in Nongoma with an impressive 1,280 votes and Ward 20 with 981 votes. In AbaQulusi (Vryheid), the party claimed Ward 12 with a commanding 1,628 votes. The IFP said that these victories mark a significant political shift, as the two wards in Nongoma were previously governed by the National Freedom Party, while Ward 12 in AbaQulusi was under the control of the African National Congress.
