Springbok captain Siya Kolisi and his wife Rachel visited Jurgen Klopp and the Liverpool team at their training base in Merseyside, England this week.
Kolisi has always made it known that he is a massive Reds fan, with the Sharks man making the most of his time off to catch up with the Liverpool boss once again.
The 31-year-old first met Klopp after leading South Africa to Rugby World Cup glory back in 2019. The pair met at a restaurant and Kolisi said at the time that he fell off his chair when he first saw the German.
“He came and greeted every single person at the table, and spoke to me for over 40 minutes. When I saw him I fell off my chair! Everyone around me didn’t understand, but I’ve got huge respect for him. He said he knew who I was and that he’d watched the final,” Kolisi told Sky Sports News at the time.
This time around, the Bok number six caught up with Liverpool number six Thiago Alcantara as well — posting a picture with the Spaniard on Instagram captioned “magician” followed by a heart and an abbreviation of Liverpool’s slogan “You’ll Never Walk Alone” (YNWA).
Kolisi’s wife Rachel also took to social media, sharing a picture of the couple alongside Klopp on the training field.
“Impossible to put yesterday into words! @liverpoolfc thank you for having us! Thank you for making it possible @adidasza Fam! #YNWA #ImpossibleIsNothing,” she wrote.
