King Monada, the Idibala hitmaker, proposed to the mother of his children on Sunday, one day before Valentine’s Day.
“We have been together for a decade and it wasn’t always easy, but it was worth it,” said Monada on Instagram.
“We are ready for more decades.”
His first post showed only photographs of a picnic with his fiancé, while later on Sunday he shared another post with a video of him kneeling before his beloved.
“If you tell me you love me, I might not believe you. But if you show me you do, then I believe,” said Monada in the caption.
Fellow musicians and fans started congratulating Monada, who has a questionable song he released last year titled Ex Yaka, where he sings about missing his ex.
“The King! Thank you our hero!” said musician and Inkabi Records founder Big Zulu, congratulating Monada on the engagement.
