- State lawyers do not want to let the musician out of prison because he faces serious charges including attempted murder.
Musician Shebeshxt urgently needs surgery on his right leg while he sits in jail.
The artist, whose real name is Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, has been in prison since November 2025. He is fighting to get bail.
A doctor says he must have an operation to fix a screw in his leg. The screw was put there after a car crash in June 2024.
The doctor says waiting too long for the surgery could cause severe pain or cause his leg to become deformed.
Despite his medical problem, Shebeshxt is still in jail. The court previously refused to let him go home, saying he did not have strong reasons for release.
His lawyer is working on a new request for bail using new information.
State lawyers are fighting against his release. They say they have a strong case against him and that letting him out is a risk.
The musician faces charges of attempted murder, robbery and gun offences.
He will stay in prison while his court case continues and he waits for medical help.
