King Misuzulu kaZwelithini’s sister, Princess Bukhosibemvelo Nyawo, has denied allegations that she is trying to kill her brother.

In an exclusive interview with Scrolla.Africa from kwaKhangela Mankengane royal palace, Princess Bukhosibemvelo said: “I have been accused of plotting to kill my brother. I have been accused of trying to dethrone my brother. How could I do such things?

“The bigger problem here is the abaNtwana bakwaMinyamanzi royal house, who are turning our brother against us.”

Princess Bukhosibemvelo said she has met with the Queen Mothers, the widows of the late King Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu, and apologised for any previous disagreements they may have had.

“As the children and the family of the uMdlokombane (the late King Zwelithini), we want unity and peace. I miss my father and the way he kept this family united. He loved and respected his nation.

“This is what I am trying to do with my other siblings. That’s why we called Prince Mbonisi [kaBhekuzulu] and Prince Mathuba [kaBhekuzulu] to discuss how to get rid of this infighting and become the one loving royal family again,” she said.

Last Monday, Princess Bukhosibemvelo and her sister Princess Ntandoyesizwe Tembe told the traditional prime minister to the Zulu Monarch, Reverend Thulasizwe Buthelezi, that they would rather be killed by their royal rebel uncle [Prince Mbonisi] than by strangers.

At the weekend, an attempt to unite the family occurred at the tombstone unveiling ceremony of the late Queen Regent Mantfombi kaSobhuza. All the wives of the late king, including their first daughters, were together for the first time, laughing and singing in harmony.

Prince Lungelo kaZwelithini, a brother of King Misuzulu, sang a song calling on certain men to stop dividing the children of the late King Zwelithini.

Last week, King Misuzulu made it clear that he couldn’t unite the Zulu nation while his adversaries were dragging him to court.
